Rebuilding displaced communities
Whether it is through highly specialized and passionate performances, experienced trainers and tailored workshops or even donations of valuable musical instruments and other equipment, Songs of Tomorrow work for enriching and rebuilding the most vulnerable and abandoned communities, using the power of the arts.
We target refugee camps, displaced communities, victims of war and orphanages, in conflict zones or regions of extreme poverty. And our niche is that of bringing expert artistic performers, both to create shows and workshops for the people.
Our vision is to bring joy, hope and fun through our performers, as well as giving displaced communities their own voice via workshops, training and donations of valuable equipment.
Handpan Project
Working together with Sew Handpan, we bring their beautiful handpans to displaced communities, to aid them musically in their rebuilding efforts. In the photo we see South-Sudanese youth in the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement in Uganda.
Bringing Wonder to Refugee Children
Experiencing a sense of normalcy and joyful childhood can be a rare thing in many refugee camps. We try to mitigate that, by sending out performers to give deprived children a well-deserved show of magic and music. In the photo, the Bulletproof Balloons - aka Chic and Martin - are performing in the Palestinian Shatila refugee settlement in Lebanon.
Flow Arts Workshops
Learning to juggle, or throwing staffs or spinning poi, builds resilience for the individual, and strengthens the community through the sharing nature of the flow arts. Together with GORA, an Hungarian flow arts manufacturer, we bring their high quality props to children and youth who can benefit from the activities.
